An homage to the couple who stretched the boundaries of space and time and brought Jazz to cosmic heights: Alice and John Coltrane.
1. A very exhaustive account of Alice coltrane’s life recounted in an article by Britt Robson.
2. An equally exhaustive article on John by Mark Richardson.
3. Dublab – which I didn’t know but is now my second favourite online radio station after TR – co-founded by Mark Frosty McNeill, have an amazing show: “Forevermore Transcending: The Ashram Albums of Alice “Swamini Turiyasangitananda” Coltrane”. Describes itself as “This is an exploration of Alice ‘Swamini Turiyasangitananda’ Coltrane’s devotional music, specifically the four albums she self-released through her Sai Anantam Ashram in Agoura Hills, California between 1982-1995. During this period of intense spiritual reflection Coltrane’s music took flight into higher dimensions.”
